Cup Cakes

Last Saturday after brunch (breakfast cum lunch), I brought my little angel with me to my mum’s house as I have a mission to accomplish, that is to make CUP CAKES! My hubby was busy with errands so he did not follow us.

This is my first time making cup cakes and the reason why I want to make cup cakes is because of my darling’s birthday is coming soon in October. I am going to throw her a birthday party, so I’m thinking to order some cup cakes as well but I don’t think Malacca is selling and if I really want to order, that means I have to order from KL and get my brother-in-law who’s working there to collect for me. So…. to make things easy, my mind suddenly pop up a brilliant idea – that is to make the cup cakes myself!!

With all the ingredients that I bought on Friday, we happily headed to my mum’s house. My little angel was so happy as she knew that she’ll soon be seeing her grandparents, uncles, yee yee and cousins Qian Qian and Shan Shan whom she has not seen for weeks.

When we reached grandma’s place, cousins Qian Qian and Shan Shan weren’t around. So, my eldest brother helped to take care of my little girl and without any further delay, my mum and I quickly started our mission.

The progress was rather smooth at first but when it came to the baking part, my mum’s antique oven some how didn’t really work. We started around 3pm in the afternoon and only manage to finish the whole thing at around 8pm, my goodness!!

Even though the process took very long hours due to my mum’s antique oven, but I still manage to make my very own cup cakes. So my conclusion is, just spend the money and get the job well done by the expert!!

I actually made more than these but some already gave to my family members, so no chance to take pictures.

I had extra icing so I bought this sponge cake from bakery and add on the topping
