Another Dessert

Few years back while I was in Singapore, I used to order this dessert many times. This dessert is called "Papaya Milk with Sago". Another easy-to-prepare dessert. Just put in the baby sago in slow cooker and stew it with milk, once the white colour sago become transparent, just add in the ripe papaya and continue to stew it for about another half to one hour.

As a natural remedy, papaya not only aids digestion but also helps prevent constipation. It provides relief from piles and also has anti-cancer properties. Papaya has also been shown to lower cholesterol levels, prevents the formation of urinary stones, prevents intestinal infection by parasites and aids in the proper functioning of the body’s immune system. For lactating mothers, according to traditional beliefs, papaya also helps to stimulate milk production.

Papayas are a good source of fiber. Its fiber is able to keep cancer-causing toxins in the colon away from the healthy colon cells. Those who are experiencing constipation or at risk of colon cancer should consider taking more papaya. Papaya’s folate, vitamin C, vitamin A, beta-carontene and vitamin E have been linked with reduced risk of colon cancer. Additionally, the antioxidant nutrients found in papaya have also been proven to reduce muscle inflammation and the healing of burns and wounds.

Some people even said that it'll help to improve your complexion and makes you look fairer. Don't care whether it's real or not, this dessert does taste good and full of nutrients.

Dinner in EQ

We had our dinner last night in Equatorial Hotel Malacca as there was something for us to celebrate about. Usually if we have something to celebrate, we’ll first think of Equatorial Hotel, not only the food there is nice but the service is also very good.

Dessert

Lately, I enjoy making “thong sui” (Chinese dessert) so much. The idea actually came from the dessert which I frequently buy from a dessert shop mainly selling “Kwai Ling Ko” (Tortoise shell-Rhizome jelly). This dessert is called “Snow Fungus with Rock Sugar” and it is very easy to prepare.

Snow fungus, also known as white tree ear fungus, cloud ear or white fungus. People have been saying that snow fungus is an alternative to expensive bird’s nest for the poor man. It contains much iron, vitamin C, calcium and phosphorus. It is often used in soups and desserts and believed to improve the complexion.

The fat and gum like protein in it is especially nourishing to the body. It is considered a good supplement to the body. Stew snow fungus with rock sugar lubricates the colon and stimulates peristalsis. Thus, it is a mild laxative for constipation patients.

Snow fungus is also said to be effective in nourishing the lungs, healing dry cough and clearing heat in the lungs. Those who have weak lungs catch cold easily. Eating stewed snow fungus with rock sugar and red dates helps strengthen the respiratory system and thus, helps prevent cold.

Usually I’ll just cook a big pot and store the desserts in a few containers so that me and my family can have it every day.

Busy Busy Day - Part 2

Mummy and Daddy decided to bring Little Princess to the zoo on last Sunday (21 June 2009) but the sun was quite hot, so Daddy suggested that we had our lunch at the Ayer Keroh's McDonald first and decide later on the zoo trip. While we were having our lunch, it rained for awhile, so after that we decided to make our trip there but our little girl was busy playing at the playground and refused to go to zoo, so Mummy had to tell her story that the elephant is waiting for her and if she doesn't turn up, the elephant will feel sad and cry...

After hearing my story, Ern Ern also feel like crying. I asked her whether she wants to see the elephant? Immediately, she nodded her head... hahaha... sometimes really need to play some special tricks..

Busy Busy Day - Part 1

Saturday afternoon, I dolled up my little princess and we went to Mahkota Parade shopping centre to buy some stuff. We took our lunch at ZingDo korean restaurant and after that when my Little Princess saw this animal below, she said she wanted a ride.

Oh Ya! Forgot to mention that Daddy also bought a cute Oral B toothbrush for little princess as now she already has so many teeth inside her mouth. She has four front teeth and two molar teeth on top and bottom, so total she has twelve teeth now and another two canine teeth are also growing on top. My little princess really likes to eat and her stomach never full, so have to train her to start brushing her teeth from now on..

A New Me

Hmmhh.... You must be wondering what am I doing lately until got no time to update my blog right?? Actually, I am so busy keeping myself in good shape, ^o^...!!

I always heard my colleagues or friends said they spent few hundreds of dollars on their hair but very seldom hear people say that they spend few hundreds for facial or health products. To me, I don't really bother about my hair as I know that even if my hair look bad today, tomorrow it'll grow again. However, if we don't take good care of our skin, it'll definitely gone forever. That's why I will spend plenty of money on skin care and health products but not on my hair.

If you are a follower of my blog, you'll know that I'm currently taking some health care products. I went for facial last Friday on 12 Jun 09 and each time before the facial starts, the beautician will first check on my skin condition using a machine to test on the skin's elasticity, moisture, oiliness and pigmentation. Before I consuming this product, i remembered clearly that my skin elasticity was only about 40% and pigmentation about 44% but during my last visit, my elasticity has gone up to 68% and pigmentation went down to 20%. I am very happy with the result and even the beautician also noticed the changes in me.

I had spent so much money on beauty and health care products all this while but this is the only product that makes me feel worthwhile. If you have sharp eyes, you should be able to notice that my laugh lines now become very shallow, pores are so much smaller, skin tone is even, brighter and shinier. No more rough skin and large pores due to white and black heads, dull skin and uneven tone.. all these problems have been bothering me for so long and now I managed to find a product that can conquer all the problems. I really feel great and thank god for it..
